Long Island Gas Station Attendant Accused Of Forcibly Touching Girl

An employee at a Long Island gas station is accused of forcibly touching a teenager.

A 16-year-old girl walked into the BP gas station, located in Huntington Station at 233 Walt Whitman Road on Monday, Oct. 14 at approximately 10 p.m. when she engaged in conversation with a gas station attendant, according to Suffolk County Police.

The employee then forcibly touched the girl two separate times.

The victim left the gas station and reported the incident to the Suffolk County Police Department on Tuesday, Oct. 15.

Following an investigation, detectives from the Second Squad of the Suffolk County PD arrested Harjindar Singh, 61, of Greenlawn on Wednesday, October 16.

Singh was charged with:

  • Two counts of forcible touching,
  • Two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

He was held overnight and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Thursday, Oct. 17.
